obective: to further the classic design of a gateleg table by increasing its size and enhancing its visual appearance
design: two equally wide (usually determined by the height of a table) and variously long pieces have rails fixed to them on the wide side. the “upper side” of those rails is rounded and accommodates a pivoting point to allow one or two of those leaves to sit on a bottom frame. this is usually tableheight and consists of a braced frame that has two foldout gatelegs pivoting on each side. each pair is connected with a hinged rail to allow the user to easily place them under one or both of the top leaves, if they get folded up.
